Gary Marcus, scientist, entrepreneur, and best-selling writer, was Founder and CEO of Geometric Intelligence, a machine learning startup recently acquired by Uber, where he helped launch Uber AI Labs. Trained by Steven Pinker, he is also an award-winning professor of Psychology and Neural Science at New York University, with numerous publications in top journals like Science and Nature, a regular contributor to The New Yorker and The New York Times, and a bestselling author (Guitar Zero, Kluge, The Future of The Brain) who frequently appears on radio and television.

He also invented the now-ubiquitous trolley problems for driverless cars (borrowed, mostly recently, by Barack Obama) and is the very proud parent of two adorable toddlers.
